Ready for the Off – Tues. May 1
Next Tuesday 1st May heralds the eagerly anticipated first race meeting of the season at Ballinrobe. It is also the first meeting of the year in Connacht.
Staff at our popular venue have been busily preparing for the event over the past number of weeks. Anyone passing by will have noticed that the course has suddenly erupted into a hive of activity; as grass is cut, jumps, hurdles and railing erected, painters and plumbers rush around and the Guinness lorry has arrived! It bodes for a exciting evening of racing with an all national hunt card featuring four hurdles races, two chases and a bumper.
John Flannelly, Racecourse Manager commented; ”We are all really looking forward to the first race meeting of the season at Ballinrobe. All the staff have been working extremely hard to ensure the place is in tip-top condition. We have been lucky with the weather over the past week and the track is in great shape. We hope to have a great crowd for the first meeting of the season”.
The first race of a seven race card commences at 5:25pm. Looking forward to welcoming all patrons to the races.
