BALLINROBE RACECOURSE LAUNCHES NEW MEMBERS CLUB

 This week sees Ballinrobe Racecourse launch its new Members Club ahead of the 2013 racing season This is another feather in the cap of this progressive racecourse. Ballinrobe Racecourse is now highly regarded for having a very high standard of facilities for the race going public to enjoy. The Racecourse currently stages 9 race meetings per year, from April through to September, and is always strongly supported by Ireland’s leading trainers and top jockeys.

The new Members Club is an exciting venture which has been in planning by the Racecourse Committee for some time. The Club will offer a great range of added benefits to it’s members, including a newly refurbished Members Lounge with viewing balcony overlooking the track.

Over the past number of years we have been concentrating heavily on improving the facilities for the race going public, and we now feel the time is right to launch a Members Club. Over The Last!

Next Monday afternoon, Sept 24^th, sees the final race meeting of the season here at Ballinrobe. The public will be enticed by an all National Card of 4 hurdle races and 3 steeplechases.

The feature race of the afternoon is the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap of €12500 rated 0-109 over 2miles 6 furlongs. This race has always been a hotly contested event with the top trainers in the country involved.

The Racecourse are delighted to have Tote Ireland coming on board for this meeting, sponsoring six of the races on Monday’s card. They are also hosting a Tote Go Racing Day on the afternoon.

Manager John Flannelly commented “ Weatherwise, 2012 has been a difficult year but we are delighted to have been able to get through all our fixtures and we are very much looking forward to next Mondays all National Hunt card.  I would like to wish the best of luck to the Mayo Team on Sunday in Croake Parke and we look forward to celebrating on Monday evening!”
