Fiona Glynn, a personal trainer from Ballinasloe, County Galway was the stand-out winner at the vaughanshoes.ie Best Dressed Ladies Day at Ballinrobe Racecourse on Tuesday 21st June. Fiona collected the top prize of €1,500 cash and each of the nine runners-up received a goody bag to the value of €130.
Fiona was wearing a floral 1950s prom-style dress from Chi Chi London from ASOS and her hat was designed by Leitrim Milliner Jennifer Wyrnne. Her handbag was on loan from her mum and she got her shoes on holidays in Spain.
Fiona said: “I can’t believe I won the vaughanshoes.ie Best Dressed Lady competition. There is brilliant fashion here tonight so I’m in total shock but absolutely delighted. Ballinrobe is my favourite racecourse, I’ve been racing here since I was a child and I love coming here every summer.”

Judge, Cathriona King, Millinery Designer of the year 2015, who stood in for TV3’s Sinead Desmond who was unwell, said: “I was delighted to act as super-sub judge and really impressed by the fashion at Ballinrobe Racecourse this evening. I found it very difficult to pick 10 finalists and even harder to chose the winner. Well done to all the ladies – you all looked fantastic.”
