Ballinrobe-based company McHale  are proud sponsors of the Listed McHale Mayo National and the McHale Mayo Hurdle. 2024 brings more improvements with the McHale Mayo National now with a prize fund of €100,000.

We are delighted to announce that Rasai Beo TG4 will be broadcasting live from McHale Raceday once again this year.

In 2023, Lunar Power won the McHale Mayo Handicap Hurdle. Lunar Power was trained by Noel Meade and ridden by Neil Ryan. At 33/1 Lunar Power won by three-and-a-quarter lengths.

Gordon Elliott and  Danny Gilligan teamed up to win the McHale Mayo National Handicap Chase with Tullybeg in 2023.

Established over 30 years ago, McHale will sponsor seven races on the day. The family-run business produces a range of specialist farm machinery focusing on balers and bale wrappers and is a major employer in the Ballinrobe area. Manufacturing takes place at a purpose-built factory in Ballinrobe.
