John Flannelly, Manager of Ballinrobe Racecourse, and a group of friends will complete a 102km charity cycle from Sligo Racecourse to Ballinrobe Racecourse. The cycle will take place on Sunday July 1st in aid of the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund. John Flannelly, manager, commented “We are all aware of the dangers facing jockeys every day. We hope that this cycle will not only raise some much needed funds but will also raise awareness of this worthy cause”.

The Injured Jockeys Fund provides important funds in case of serious accident and also provides maintenance for those beneficiaries in need of long term support. “The Injured Jockeys Fund does superb work in helping jockeys who have sustained injuries through their work”, John commented, “and we hope that we can help them in some way.”
